Circumcision Information

Should you choose to have your son circumcised, your Provider may be able to perform the circumcision procedure in-clinic.

Questions about the procedure?

Our Circumcision Patient Education Handout is typically given to the mother at her 36-wk prenatal visit. For additional information, talk to your doctor at your next visit.

Having your son circumcised?

Your insurance may or may not cover the cost of the circumcision. Contact your insurance company to determine your benefits and financial responsibility. You will also be asked to sign our Circumcision Agreement of Payment form.

Questions about caring for your child after the procedure?

At the time of the visit, you will be given a copy of our Circumcision PostProcedure Parent Education form. Should you have additional questions, please call our office to discuss with your doctor.

Historical Information

The historical reason for Circumcision has Biblical origin. In the 17th chapter of Genesis God uses the removal of the male foreskin as a sign of the covenant between Himself and His chosen people. This is the basis for the use of circumcision by Muslims and Jews alike. Read more…
